BIG4 Brisbane Gateway Village Resort sponsors Run
for a Safe Climate
27 DAYS... 6,000 KMS... 25 RUNNERS BIG4 Brisbane Gateway Village Resort
is a sponsor of the Run For A Safe Climate Project. Gateway Village manager,
Russell Holland says, "We recently provided accommodation and campsites for
the team of 25 runners and their support crew as they progress on their 6,000 km
run over 27 days, from Cooktown in Far North Qld down the East Coast of
Australia. Our sponsorship included providing the cabin accommodation and
powered sites free of charge, promotion via our website and a donation towards
the project.
 We decided to be involved in sponsoring this project because of the
important message it is promoting
to
the Australian community in terms of the urgent need to take strong action to
address the risk of global warming. We have been implementing a number of
initiatives at Gateway Village Resort aimed at energy reduction and
sustainability and felt our sponsorship of Run for A Safe Climate would also be
a great opportunity to encourage others to take similar steps."
